Twilight Productions was built in 1986 to service the music requirements of Beyond International Group the makers of the television series Beyond 2000. Murray Burns and Colin Bayley, both ex Misex, were the pioneers in using electronic keyboards with sequencers and a sixteen track to create background music for TV series. The studio was purpose built to their requirements and to their layout. It was adjacent to a small vocal booth which in turn was adjacent to my studio where I mixed the programs. Both room were similar in style and were connected with tie lines etc. Later and additional room was built for an additional composer Kevin, Colin's brother and a multitrack tracklaying room was added later. Beyond 2000 was unique in Australia because it was the first primetime info-documentary series to be shot on Betacam with original music composed and recorded for each story, a practice that has become the norm.

The Building has now been sold - pulled down and rebuilt and Beyond have built new facilities.

Below is Kevin's room which was added later. He has a Tascam 3500 console and a Korg M1. All sequencing is Macintosh based using Vision.
