Eric Henry's Booth

This is a sequence of shots made during the construction of Eric's vocal booth.

pre_project_space
- this is where I used to record, soon to be occupied with the new vocal booth

first_wall - literally the first wall i've ever built! alvin, was a big help. total wall height is about two inches below the joists from the floor above. i don't plan on attaching to them.

two_walls - coming together. full frame
- with door opening and ceiling unattached to the structure of the house,
except on the floor.
drywall up - 5/8" drywall all around with lots of caulk on every seam!

rc_and_insulation - starting to really get quiet in here! note the air intake duct in the corner. starts at the top and travels the height of the wall before coming into the room at the floor. similar duct on the other side of the room except air exits from within the room at the ceiling.

start_auralex - starting to put up the auralex. i have no idea what i'm doing with this stuff!

end_auralex - my brother calls this the torture chamber now. you can yell pretty loud in here an not be heard upstairs, plus it looks really spooky inside.

done_interior_shot - my new home with my new friend, the SP B1.

done_exterior_shot - the new studio, and my first client!

cheers Eric
