This
is a studio being built for I-India which is a NGO looking after
street kids in Jaipur - India.
The construction project manager is Charoo Prabhakar.

Charoo
is in his early twenties and comes from a remote place in the
Rajatshan desert where they just get sand, nothing else :) ,
so this is quite a challenge for a young man from that background.
This
is the original plan Charoo had worked out:

After
many layout designs we finally settled on this plan as a way
to utilise the rooms only making cosmetic changes to the building
structure as it's all double brick and all the walls support
an upstairs.

The
building looked like this before we started.
This shows the staircase which was being sealed off from the
upstairs

and
the doorway into the office

They
started with the control room construction based on this plan

Sayers Productions also offered their Design Services for free.
So
the construction started,
first with the ceiling which we sealed off the from the upstairs
with a new added drywall ceiling with insulation in the cavity.:

The
front window had top be moved to the center of the room, you
can see the still wet concrete where the window openning was
changed.

And
the rear wall framing was done.

More
to come - cheers John
