This is LDQ's studio. It's a typical basement studio with the
standard 8' (2.4m) ceiling height.
Here is the plan we finally decided upon after playing with
his design on the HR forum, a few emails and drawing exchanges
culminating in a lengthy phone call to finalize it all.

Here
are a couple of shots of the basement area.

The
ceiling is also typical with floor joists sitting on bearers
held up with steel jackposts.

Once
the insulation is inserted between the joists resilient channel
(RC) is used for mounting the double layer Drywall ceiling

The
floor will be floated on rubber pucks

A
vapour barrier of plastic is laid beneath the floor and insulation
placed between the joists.

Then
a plywood surface.

Now
the framing starts.

Looking
good
