Just received an email from Pete:

Quote:
Hi John

Love my studio. Had some dude in the rainforest design it.

Anyway, had the Mace Francis Orchestra in on the weekend.

3 trumpets, three trombones, four saxes and a conductor in the big room.
Used spot mics (at their insistence) but also a Blumlein pair. I didnt think the room would handle the volume but it sounded fantastic and the whole crew were stoked.
At the same time had full kit in the drum room, with bass player DI'd standing in the drum room, and guitar player also standing in the drum room, but the amp in the vocal booth.

Fucking great studio John.

Pete has just sent me an mp3 of a top shelf Irish fiddler - Rob Zielinski.
This is a blumlein pair above and and an xy pair distant in the live room.
Totally untouched signal. There is no added reverb and no eq.
