Well, the big wedding day is in less than 2 weeks! Oct. 23 is the big day! :D

Then I can refocus my efforts back on the studio again. I did some tracking back in August, but haven't had time to mix them down.

It's been a crazy couple of months for sure!

Haha. Good question! Because all this wedding planning etc will be behind me and I'll be able to refocus my time, energy and Money back into the studio.

Greetings All,

Well, it's been an adventurous year already! As you all know, I tied the knot back in October. Since then, the week after we got back from our honeymoon (which was fabulous by the way!), my wife quit her job, and found a new one in December. I quit my job on March 10th after 13 1/2 years with this company, due to them screwing me out of $2k worth of commissions. I had a couple interesting months, and now, I'm back to work with a new company, and it's even better than my last one! Woo Hoo! I'm now working as a Design Engineer for Xerox Audio Visual Solutions. They're the 3rd largest AV systems integration company in the USA (I've been told). It's great! I love it. I started last week, the environment is great, and the people I work with are great. I must say, I'm so grateful to be out of that other miserable hell hole I was in for so many years! It's a great feeling to be happy again where I work. :yahoo:

Once I get caught back up on the bills, I now should be able to start getting back to my real passion, the studio! This new job should allow for me to accomplish this goal much easier than in the past. I'm looking forward to it, and what the next year will bring. It'll take me a couple months to get everything else squared up, but I'm hoping by end of summer/early fall, I should be able to start reporting some new progress on the studio.

Thanks everyone for sticking it out over the years with my studio build. It's been one great adventure!

Also, one last thing, I'd like to say, a dear friend of mine Tabby Crabb passed away back in April. He was the owner of Flatwood Studio in Lebanon, TN until a few years ago when he sold his place and moved to GA. He is the one I purchased my console and tape machine and a few other items in the studio from. He was a great friend of mine, and we all miss him. Here's to you Tabby! You were a great friend, and inspired and helped me to achieve many of my goals and dreams. Thank You.

Here's a picture of Tabby & I a couple years ago when I went down to Leslie, GA to visit him. This was taken on Lake Blackshear.

Just wanted to chime in to thank Aaron for all of the effort he's made through these past several years to let us in on all that he's done to his studio. It's much appreciated!

Well, after planning to get back on track w/ the studio build this summer, I had another set back. I was laid off from my awesome day job at Xerox AV at the end of March. I spent the last 3 weeks in the Seattle area though helping w/ an AV install at Microsoft with an opportunity that came up. I may be going back in a few weeks to do another install at the Seahawks stadium though too. So at least I have some work coming in.

I have some other news to report however. I shouldn't be posting this for at least another month, but I'm too excited! The wife is now 8 weeks along...

I also am now officially "Over the Hill" as of a couple weeks ago too. LOL

But hey, life's good!

That's all I have to report for now. I hope everyone is doing well. Cheers to all!

Congratulations!!!!! That's great news! A new studio, a new addition to the family as well, and a new job: It's gonna be a great year for you, by the sounds of it!

Welcome back! It sure is good to see you on the forum again.
