Hi to you all !

With a friend we're building a little mixing room that's of now designed as you can see below. I've designed corner bass traps for which I include my Google sketchup model (http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/ ... 6a7fab8164).

As we learn a lot along the way, I would be curious of your reactions and remarks, both on the general layout, and on the corner bass traps. The latter are simply designed, wooden frame, closed back (not sure if that's a good idea but it made sense practically and for sanitary reasons). I'm building a prototype on which I would like to add 1/4 circle thin wood diffusers spaced in a QRD sequence from top to bottom... Is it a good idea ? I will try to model this addition in Sketchup and submit it to you also.

All reactions welcome !!! Thanks, Piotr.

Since you're angling the side wall for the booth, make an angle in front of the mix desk to your position is symmetric to both walls. On the curved treatments, use some vertical slats in an MLS or other numeric pattern of your choice. Another option is apply panel with slots cut. Use 1/8" plywood and route the slots in the desired pattern.
