I want to know the added transmission loss of my construction. Therefore, I want to take some measurements and would love to get some tips from you

My wooden frame is build and the mineral wool is coming the next days.

Equipment:
I can borrow a NTI XL2 as analyser and recorder and a Minirator MR-Pro as signal generator.

speaker:
I will use my Klein&HummelPRO X SUB S and 2xPRO X 6/N. No spherical speakers, but they will do the trick. They are able to play >120dBspl.

I'm planning to do two measurements. One now (without drywall) and one when the walls are finished. The difference will be my TL.

The XL2 analyser is able to record audio and all measurement data, so I think I am flexible with evaluating the data afterwards.

But the signal/measurement is crucial and I would be happy if someone here has any recommendations!!

Signal: white noise or chirp?

I want to take measurements at an office and at least in two private dwellings (above/beside). I don't want to bother them to long, so I would love to need just seconds to measure

I thought about recording/measuring some seconds without source signal and some seconds with the signal generator active.
Because my walls are placed on rubber, I want to measure/record impact sound too. I thought about building a fixture for a gavel to let it fall on the floor with a defined velocity. That's also not conform with the standards, but as I just need the difference I think it will work.
